Best Milne Bay Diving… This large bay on the eastern tip of the main island of New Guinea is what first put PNG on the travelling diver’s “to do” list. It truly is an amazing location with a lot to offer.
It is pretty easy to get to. As the main town, Alotao is just over one hour’s flight time from the capital Port Moresby. But it gets more complicated from there… As Milne Bay covers a really large area and these days diving options are limited.
Milne Bay was the first part of PNG that I ever dived. And it remains a really special place for me. So when the 25th anniversary of that trip appeared on the horizon I wanted to do something really out of the ordinary and started planning the ultimate trip!
